This is a piece I wrote over the summer in my free time just to practice writing. It's different than the rest of the pieces in my ePortfolio and my personal blog because it's satire. I've wanted to try satire for a while because I think it works well with my natural style and voice, and this gave me a chance to do that. 

This was written before I was attuned to audience and rhetorical situation, so it's not perfect. In fact, I consider this a good first draft: I hit you on the head with the satire and it's too long. However, that's just how writing is, and how writers grow and evolve.
